Weekly Net Announcements

General Announcements:

Erie County ARES/RACES holds regular meetings the second Monday of every month except for July at 1930hrs at the Erie County Emergency Services Training and Operations Center on Broadway, just east of Union Road. 

Anyone wishing to join Erie County ARES should attend the meeting.  

         The next meeting will be a special meeting on Monday August 11th.  The topic will be a discussion on the hospital drill and a review of the Ride for Roswell.

2008 Scheduled Events:

Hospital Communications Drill:

This drill  was held on Wednesday July 16th.  The State Department of Health is very appreciative of the amateurs that volunteered and helped to make this a successful drill. 

Diabetes Walk:

The Diabetes Walk is Saturday September 27th out of Dunn Tire Park. Fifteen plus operators are requested for this event. If you would like to volunteer, let net control know.

The following are ARES/RACES nets in neighboring counties:

Niagara County net Information:

.The Niagara Co. Emergency Net meets every Sunday at 1830

The first Sunday is on the W2IVB repeater 145.310 (88.5 Hz PL) -600
The remaining Sundays are on the WC2AFM repeater 146.775 (107.2 Hz PL)-600

Then we switch over to the W2RUI repeater 146.820 (107.2 Hz PL) -600 to help 
with the east end of the county.

Orleans County  net info:

We have a weekly net on 145.270 with a tone of 141.3 every Tue Night at 9:00 PM. We also have a Simplex net once a month on the 3rd Monday at 9:00PM. All are welcome to join in. (for the simplex they usually disable the repeater and work simplex on 145.270)

Wyoming County new information:

The Wyoming County ARES net is on Saturdays at 1200hrs. on the 147.315 positive offset pl 141.3 repeater.
